Lost at Sea

a memorial to someone who was lost at sea

The Pic: Lost at Sea

If you are ever in Maine, I strongly suggest checking out Monhegan Island- right off the coast. I could have spent a couple of weeks walking around and exploring the island. It has so many interesting, photographic places; I would have loved to spend a day in each of them.

While hiking around the island one day, I found this memorial- high on a rocky edge. It is a memorial for someone who’d been lost at sea; it was so unique that I had to take a photo of it. This is an appropriate photo for today, as we are celebrating my beloved grandfather’s life.
